The purpose of this study is to examine the perceptions of professors and students toward ChatGPT-based learning and to provide some suggestions. To achieve the goal of the study, both quantitative and qualitative research methods have been analyzed. Surveys were conducted for the quantitative analysis. And for the qualitative research, the responses of open-ended questions were analyzed. The samples were 5 professors and 28 students for the study. Surveys were implemented to investigate professors’ perspectives and students’ perceptions, respectively toward ChatGPT-based learning. This study suggests the need for using ChatGPT-based learning to enhance college students’ English competence and their overall attitude toward learning.
