This paper describes the characteristics and outline of overseas trade through Information Technology among countries (Korea, United States of America, Japan). The main focus of this paper is to conduct comparative analysis with approach manner among countries.
In case of Korea, Korea's exports and imports have increased significantly after successful construction of an e-Trade platform operated by KTNET. In case of United States of America, The ACE is being developed to support the CBP mission of: (1) protecting the American public against terrorists and (2) fostering their Nation's economic security through lawful international trade and travel. In case of Japan, The Nippon Automated Cargo Clearance System was established in 1977 to promptly and accurately handle customs procedures and other tasks related to inter-national cargo and shipment handling. The results are as follows ;
First, To be successful e-Trade Platform, the Partnership(cooperation) between government and business community (several association parties like Manufacturer, Transporter, Bank, Customs Service, Insurance company, foreign affiliated bank etc.) is absolutely required. When Most of the government and business community at-tended the e-trade platform, e-trade will come into effect. To ensure that KTNET has an adequate supply of user to fulfill our e-Trade network, it may be necessary to improve benefits, cut cost or both.
Second, To activate e-Trade platform, it is important to establish close cooperation between nations. e-Trade platform can achieve best results in the simplification of procedures and cost savings when an international linkage is established. and close cooperation with International Organization, especially World Customs Organization.
