Electronic trade, sometimes called e-trade is a method of electronic messages.
Information technology is used to bring together buyers and sellers through electronic trading platform and networks based on the single window. This study deals with the propulsive state and suggestions of electronic trade in main countries. Firstly, US" ITDS is the program that assists participating government ggencies in identifying, documenting, and executing their plan to leverage ACE to improve business operations and further agency missions. ITDS’ overarching goal is the utilization of the concept commonly known as the single window. The single window will provide the trade with the ACE functionality through which they can electronically submit all information to comply with other government regulations. The information would then be assessed electronically by the relevant government departments and agencies, resulting in border-related decisions which would be transmitted electronically back to the trade.
Secondly, Japan" NACCS was expected to increase the efficiency of international logistics and to enhance the competitiveness of Japan’s ports and airports by taking such measures as streamlining its operations through the improved corporate management and providing better services to users by enlarging its scope of business. Thirdly, HK" DTTN is a state of the art electronic logistics platform, facilitating information flows among the trade, logistics and finance industries with the objective of enhancing the efficiency of business transactions throughout the whole SCM. Fourthly, Singapore" TradeXchange is a neutral and secure trade platform that facilitates the exchange of information within the trade and logistics community. TradeXchange will provide seamless inter-connectivity among commercial and regulatory systems for the Singapore trade and logistics community. In addition, it will offer a single window for integrated work flow, submissions and enquiries to the sea ports, airports, maritime authorities, customs and controlling agencies. Finally, TradeGate and DAKOSY are specialist international trade and transport e-commerce provider based on the single window.
