The aim of this study is to suggest the design methods for better improvement for post-2000 Korea's 'the neighborhood street' in Apartment Housing. It means designing living space's streets into everyday-life space, in other words streets with basic environment that enables residence to volunteerly get involved in creating the street space with societal habits that were being practiced within the connected streets or the same housing estate, such as daily doings of recreations, reposes or exchanges between neighbours and formation of communities. As the living space territories have expanded into cities, spaces between housing areas and inside or outside individualized estates' street spaces have been connected and as the extent of street functions increased, it has emerged as a part of planning solution to revitalize the community. Similar elements of it, reflection of everyday-life, communities or exchanges, separated or connected spaces, boundary and substitutional spaces, were drawn up by first, materializing cases following the size of housing areas and planning range into these, Interior individual housing area case, Substitution of city space case and Combination of interior and exterior case. By presenting reform measures that goes with each characteristics to varieties of planning possibilities, longstanding problems or limits of planning are demonstrated so that future plans are able to provide the neighborhood street that can be used actively as everyday-life spaces.
