In this paper, we investigate to increase azimuth resolution by applying the Doppler effect of ultrasonic sensors. Generally, ultrasonic sensors for automobiles are widely used for rear distance detection. However, if the proposed technique is applied to an ultrasonic sensor, it is possible to distinguish targets without performing expensive radar beamforming. In order to verify this, several experiments were conducted, and the experimental results were sufficient to prove the validity of the study. It is expected that this study will be used as an initial study of the use of automotive sensors and next-generation IOT motion input devices.
