Urban color is an important factor that affects the formation of urban image. The purpose of this study was to analyze the color elements of three cities, Xian, Changsha, and Gwangju, which have very different characteristics in China, and to understand the effect of color on the formation of city image. Xian, Changsha, and Guangzhou were divided into human environment, historical and cultural environment, artificial environment, urban landscape, and natural environment, and the results were analyzed through questionnaires, colorimeters, and programs. Each of them showed different characteristics according to their enemy characteristics. In Xi"an, where there are many historical buildings and three-dimensional roads, PB and P colors are central, Changsha surrounded by mountains is GY and G and in Guangzhou, a port city, PB series appears centrally in the city, which reflects the humanities of each city. It was judged that the environment and buildings were also affected. This study intends to use the color data analyzed by city as basic data for the Chinese city color plan.
