The aim of study is to do in-depth research and clarify the effect having on the pregnant women’s fatigue, anxiety and delivery self-confidence when they practice Yoga program. The pregnant women participating in this program were 15people who are 20~24week pregnant in Seoul and practicing Yoga program in professional yoga center. They practiced for 60minutes 2times a week for 12 weeks. The psychological measurement was done before and after practicing Yoga program. In-depth interview was done before, halftime and after practicing Yoga program. Research tool is a formulaic questionnaire which consists of personal questions, 20 anxiety questions, 30 fatigue questions, and 25 delivery self-confidence questions. Also the effect of the pregnant women’s Yoga program was analyzed in-depth through the in-depth interviews. The result of the study is below. First, the result of analyzing the psychological measurement shows the decrease of the fatigue and anxiety and increase in the delivery self-confidence. This presents the statistically significant differences. Total 209 essential materials were collected, which were classified into 17 detailed areas and 4 general areas. Concretely physical change among the general areas(49%) consists of the detailed areas such as pain relief(16), fetal movement changing(12), correcting pose(10), body relaxation(9), increase in physical improvement(7), comfortable motion(27) and uncomfortable motion(21). Psychological change among the general areas(24%) consists of the detailed areas such as emotional stability(18), increase of confidence(11), mood improvement(11) and emotional purification(10). Cognitive change among the general areas(16%) consists of the detailed areas such as mind attitude concerning delivery(14), communion experience with fetus(14), and recognition of body situation(6). At last, physiological change among the general areas(11%) consists of the detailed areas such as blood circulation(10), health improvement(8) and sound sleep(5).
I think that this study can be used not only for the development and application of Yoga program as an exercise intervention influencing the pregnant women’s comfortable and soft delivery but also indicates the importance of the proper Yoga practicing to the pregnance women.
