The maintainer safety to approaching train must be secured at the tunnel that has poor visibility. The Tunnel Alarm Control Box on the railway is the device which provides the evacuation time to tunnel maintainer by detecting the train approaching to the tunnel and operating the waning light and alarm. It is natural for this Tunnel Alarm Control Box to secure maintainer safety by installing it at all tunnels, but application of domestic Tunnel Alarm Control Box on general railway, which signal system is different, is difficult as it is established based on high-speed railway signal system if high-speed railway is introduced. The performance of Tunnel Alarm Control Box must be also improved in order to secure the safety of tunnel maintainer at general railway and study the advanced performance technology measure so as to prevent the incident arisen from the intrusion of animal and outsider by adding real-time tunnel supervision function which is not existed at present.
