Urban townhouse is generally designed for a low floor but high-density living style. It not only has relatively independent personal living space, but also shared community facilities. So the purpose of this study is a proposal of one, two persons urban townhouse raised. The study methods of this paper were theoretical investigation and case analysis. The process of the study was in the following order.（1）Concerns one, two persons living condition and theoretical investigation into townhouse.（2）Presenting the building elements of this specific townhouse, though a townhouse case study. (3) Presenting the interior characteristics of this specific townhouse, though a smallhouse case study. (4) Based on the results of the analysis, a design proposal of this urban townhouse that suits Korea is provided. The result of smallhouse described that by dividing the space vertically the house retains both its efficiency and spaciousness. The result of townhouse described that by considering the connection between community and its dwelling area the focus was on the fusion of community and living space when developing the small urban townhouse. In the future instead of need for study and development, we expect an increase in demand for its revitalization.
